Vine & Bell Cottage, London
Private client
This Grade II listed building is one of the oldest in Fulham. It was built in the early 18th century and later extended by the Dancer family of market gardeners. By the late 19th century, the site had become home to Roydhouse Mineral Water Manufacturers and it was subsequently the first building in the area to have electricity. Now it is once again a private family home.
Built Heritage Consultancy advised Icon Architects and Green Structural Engineering how to enlarge the existing basement whilst causing the least harm to the significance of the building. Our Heritage Statement included a robust justification for the proposals based on detailed historical research and fabric observation.
